Personal Experience

I am an immigrant to the United States. My family endured the arduous process of a family-based petition to obtain what all immigrants desire, a better future for themselves and their family. I recall the years of separation; that is an indelible memory I will always carry with me. Witnessing first-hand the sacrifice my parents made and their desire to obtain U.S. residency and eventually becoming a U.S. Citizen, all to offer a better life for me and my siblings, is the driving impetus behind my personal passion for immigration law and helping others to reach their dreams.

I graduated from The Pennsylvania State University in 1993 and immediately entered CUNY Law School. The late Haywood Burns, Esq., the then Dean of the CUNY Law School, was my final inspiration with regard to the practice of the law. Haywood Burns, was a passionate civil rights attorney that was the embodiment of the motto of CUNY Law School - “Law in the Service of Human Needs”. Although I was also accepted to University of Miami Law School, Haywood Burns was the principal reason I decided to attend CUNY and I never regretted this decision. It further solidified my belief that as a community we should always strive to serve the public in a selfless manner.

My father always shared with me that he wanted his children to be lawyers, doctors, accountants, and America is where this was most likely to be achieved. I will never forget the moment on the telephone with my father, when I opened my bar passage letter. I was admitted to the New York State Bar in September of 1996.

Our staff is a diverse group with employees made up of natural born citizens and immigrants to the U.S. I believe that selecting an attorney who has both the practical and legal knowledge, as well as the personal experience in immigration, is important. This ensures that each client is respected and appreciated based upon the new thread they will represent in the fabric of the American community.

The U.S. is a country founded on the blood, sweat and innovation of our multicultural population. It is a reality that my staff and I encounter every day through our clients. Let us help you, not only reach for your immigration dreams, but ultimately achieve them.
